Gloucester County NAACP Announces Juneteenth Celebration June 20

SEWELL – The Gloucester County NAACP announced its augural Juneteenth Celebration at Rowan College South Jersey’s Gloucester County campus, 1400 Tanyard Road in Sewell from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, a national recognition for the end of slavery in the United States.

The event is being sponsored by the Gloucester County NAACP, Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department. Live entertainment will be provided by Merry Cross featuring the 2NspireU Band.

The celebration will include an African dance ensemble with stilt walkers, spoken word, an African drummer, a Gospel ensemble and local speakers. Voter registrations will be taken and food trucks will be available.
