CHESILHURST — Apostle Charlie and Jannie Odom, founders of First Baptist Church’s Corner Cupboard Food Pantry, will be honored for their longtime community service with a Drive By Party at LeAnna Harris Park and ending at First Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 20.

The honor will occur on Apostle Odom’s 80th birthday. The couple will receive a proclamation from the Camden County Board of Freeholders and will be recognized for their 43rd wedding anniversary, said their daughter and Chesilhurst Mayor Jamila Bremmer.

LeAnna Harris Park is located on Center Avenue in Chesilhurst and First Baptist Church is at 57 White Horse Pike.

“They worked so hard during this pandemic making sure people didn’t go without food,” Bremmer said. “The freeholders will be there to present a proclamation for their community service and for their 43rd wedding anniversary. There will also be a street dedication in their honor.”
