Rutgers-Camden’s Rhasheda Douglas To Speak at Glassboro Orchid Club Scholarship Luncheon

GLASSBORO Rhasheda Douglas, assistant dean of minority student programs at Rutgers University-Camden Law School will be the keynote speaker at the Glassboro Orchid Club Scholarship Luncheon where four community leaders will be recognized on Saturday, May 7.

The event will be held at 11 a.m. at Masso’s Catering, 210 South Delsea Drive in Glassboro.

Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the club’s scholarship fund. The Glassboro Orchid Club is affiliated with the National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs Inc. and the New Jersey State Federation of Colored Women’s Clubs.

The club will honor “Influencers Who Make a Difference” during the luncheon, including Shannon Bowen, Jared Hunter, Quandell Iglesia and Sadie Maamoon-Means.

Douglas joined Rutgers Law School as the Assistant Dean of the Minority Student Program on the Camden campus in July 2016. Immediately prior to joining the Rutgers Law School, Douglas served as the Title IX Manager at Rowan University, where Douglas provided key guidance in ensuring the University’s compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013.

Douglas was an associate at Montgomery McCracken in Philadelphia, where she practiced commercial litigation and served on the firm’s Hiring and Diversity Committees. She earned her J.D. from Rutgers Camden School of Law in 2002 and a B.A. in English from Boston University in 1997.
