Francois To Keynote Mainland-Plesantville NAACP Freedom Fund


PLEASANTVILLE — Rev. Willie Dwayne Francois, author and senior pastor at Pleasantville’s Mount Zion Baptist Church, will be the keynote speaker at the Mainland Pleasantville NAACP Freedom Fund Luncheon at the Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Francois, a graduate of prestigious Morehouse College in Atlanta, published his latest book, “Silencing White Noise,” this summer. It calls on people of all races to silence racist speech, ideas and policies that lull the people into inaction.

The luncheon, which begins at 10 a.m., will honor eight individuals and the Hispanic Association of Atlantic County for their work regarding diversity and unity in the community.
