Gloucester County NAACP Celebrates Leaders at Black & White Gala Oct. 24

DEPTFORD — The Gloucester County NAACP will honor more than a dozen community leaders, companies and “power couples” for their work in the community and on behalf of social justice issues with Game Changer Awards at is annual Black and White Gala on Oct. 24.
Loretta Winter, longtime president of the Gloucester County NAACP made the announcement of the winners this month, which will be held from 5-9 p.m. at Auletto Catering, 1849 Cooper Street in Deptford.
Honorees include:
- President’s Award — Christine Hoffman, Gloucester County interim Prosecutor
- First Harvest Federal Credit Union Power Couples — Dr. Shawnequa Carvalho and Dr. Roy Dawson; Robert “Balicki” Goodale and Yolanda Garcia-Balicki, Esq.
Community Game Changers:
- Communication — Clyde Hughes, AC JosepH Media, Front Runner New Jersey.com, South Jersey Journal
- Community Service — Ronda Abbruzzese, President Habitat for Humanity
- Corporate Excellence — Subaru of America, Inc.
- Excellence In Education — Pat Haney, Superintendent, Logan Twp Schools
