Miss Gloucester County Ashley Campbell To Appear at Fourth Friday Party on May 26

MILLVILLE — Bridgeton native and reigning Miss Gloucester County Ashley Campbell will be the special guest at the initial Fourth Friday Family Party at Captain Joseph Buck Park along the Maurice River in Millville from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, May 26.

Campbell is a first-generation graduate of Rowan University, where she earned her bachelor’s in psychology and minored in dance with an honors concentration. She is planning on pursuing her master’s in clinical mental health counseling.

She is the founder of the One Step Forward Initiative whose mission is to create mental health safe spaces for marginalized identities through conversation, art and service. Campbell has had the opportunity to promote her initiative more than 200 times throughout the state of New Jersey since 2019, including under the titles of Miss Cumberland County and Miss Gloucester County within the Miss America Opportunity.

She has also served as a community assistant and community service chair for Rowan’s NAACP, and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.

Fourth Fridays, sponsored by Bully Pest Management and the City of Millville, is a monthly event serving children and families in the city and surrounding communities. It is supported by the Complete Care Health Network. DJ Reese will provide music while there will also be face painting, a dunk tank, games, and balloon animals.

The event is free for the public.
