Life Worth Living, Inspira, Acenda Host 3-Day Hospital-Based Violence Prevention Kickoff

BRIDGETON — The youth-oriented nonprofit Life Worth Living with Inspira Health and Acenda Integrated Health are in the middle of a three-day kickoff for its Hospital-Base Violence Prevention program.
During the kickoff, participants learned more about how the Hospital-Based Violence Prevention program, provided holistic support to help heal from physical, emotional and social wounds suffered by victims of community violence.
The event reviewed a new referral process, along with introducing members of the HVP team and their roles and benefits.
John Fuqua told Front Runner New Jersey last week he believed the effort “will be huge” in addressing issues of violence plaguing young people and youth in South Jersey.
The first two kickoff sessions occurred Tuesday at Inspira Vineland and at Acenda in Glassboro. Thursday’s event will take place at Inspira Woodbury from 9 a.m.-noon.
“Thanking God for the blessing of more life and another amazing opportunity for Life Worth Living,” Fuqua said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. “Jenna Harvey, great job for having the vision of hospital-based violence intervention and the courage to push the idea.
“Much love and respect to Amy Beaulieu Mansue [Inspira president] and Robin Walton [Inspira vice president] for their leadership at Inspire for seeing this thing through. Super shout-out to Melissa Missy Fox [chief operations officer] of Acenda for her hard work and dedication to make sure this is a true partnership.”
Mansue responded on the post, supporting the collaborative effort of the organizations, recognizing Fuqua and Life Worth Living supporter Richard Todd Edwards, of Edwards & Son Funeral Home in Bridgeton.
“Richard Todd Edwards and John Fuqua, as long as we do the work together, holding each other up to do our best work, we will get the community what it needs to heal and go forward,” she said.
