SWEDESBORO — With April being Financial Literacy Month, what better time can it be to start a financial education column?
Front Runner New Jersey is pleased to announce a new feature on our website and an upcoming reboot of our newsletter FRNJ Extra, called “FRNJ Ask the Expert With Annemarie Shinn.”
Shinn, a longtime local financial expert, is the CEO of the 1166 Federal Credit Union in Swedesboro. The credit union is deeply interested in reaching out to our readers and beyond about financial literacy. We are pleased to join in partnership with the twice-monthly column.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Shinn has worked for more than 21 years at 1166 Federal Credit Union. She currently oversees the daily functions of all phases of the credit union business. That includes financial reporting, federal filing, accounting, investment and business development.
Most of all, 1166 FCU wants to reach out to the “unbanked” and “under-banked” in the area, sharing with them the advances and benefits of being banked.
