Latino Health Will Be Focus of Webinar Put on by Statewide Hispanic Chamber, NJDOH on Feb. 20

TRENTON — The New Jersey Department of Health and the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey will host a live webinar focusing on Latino health on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.

The webinar Your Health, Our Vision: Serving Latino Communities in NJ, will be live streamed on YouTube and Facebook on the SHCCNJ website. Carlos Medina, the president of SHCCNJ will be part of the webinar’s panel.

Hispanic Leadership and Community

The NJ Department of Health said the webinar will highlight programs and services offered by the department that supports and empowers the Latino community.

Other panelists include: Gabby Rodriguez, program manager, Office of Minority and Multicultural Health with the New Jersey Department of Health; Grace Amaechi, public health consultant in the WIC Office, for the NJ Department of Health; and Heather Ogden, trainer and consultant, Office of Opioid Response and Policy, for the NJDOH.

“The mission of the New Jersey Department of Health is to protect the public’s health, promote healthy communities, and continue to improve the quality of health care in New Jersey,” NJDOH said in a statement.
