CAMDEN — Five individuals, businesses and organizations will be honored at the third annual Movimiento Tricolor Gala, which will be held at The Madison, 33 Lafayette Street, Riverside, from 6:30-11 p.m. on Saturday, March 22.

Movimiento Tricolor was created in 2021 to highlight the contribution and support the local Dominican community through economic development, educating the public about the Dominican population and culture, along with civic engagement and advocacy.

“Every year, during our annual gala, we come together to honor the outstanding contributions of community members and organizations who have dedicated their time, resources, and passion to uplifting our underserved communities,” Clayton Gonzalez, one of the organizers, told Front Runner New Jersey.com.

“Their unwavering commitment serves as an inspiration to us all, as we celebrate the positive change they continue to foster,” he added.

“Whether through their generous funding or dedicated volunteering, their contributions have made a profound impact on our mission to serve the local Latin community,” Gonzalez said. “We are deeply grateful for their partnership and commitment to creating positive change.”

The organization announced on its Facebook page on March 6 that the event has sold out.

“The Third Annual Movimiento Tricolor Gala on March 22nd is officially at capacity! Thank you for your incredible support. We can’t wait to celebrate culture, community, and unity with you,” the message said.
