Hispanic Heritage Month: Calenda Mexican Store Celebrates Grand Opening

SEWELL — Calenda Mexican Store announced the grand opening of its first location at 309 Fries Mill Road, Suite #19, in Washington Township on Monday, Oct. 20 with a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m.
Established to bring the authentic flavors and vibrant culture of Mexico closer to home, this specialty grocery store and ice cream parlor offers a wide selection of fresh, high-quality products, traditional ingredients, and unique items that celebrate Mexican heritage, owners said.
Calenda Mexican Store provides a welcoming environment for customers seeking both everyday groceries and unique cultural finds.
“We’re excited to open our doors in Washington Township and share a taste of Mexico with our neighbors,” store owner Glendy Perez said. “Our goal is to create a local destination where families can enjoy authentic products and a warm shopping experience.”
Calenda Mexican Stores will be open Sunday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store will be closed on Saturdays.
