PLEASANTVILLE – William A. “Bill” Cradle, the longtime president of the Public Relations Council of Atlantic City and widely respected graphic designer in South Jersey, has died, the council announced on Monday, Jan. 12.

Cradle, who owned Atlantic Color, Ltd., worked with many of the leading businesses throughout the region along with sharing his creative talents to many nonprofit businesses and causes. The native New Jersey resident was known as a quiet advocate, lifting and supporting small businesses owners and others breaking into the graphic artists field while inspiring the community.

The PR Council called Cradle “a beloved colleague, leader, and friend.”

“A steadfast supporter of the community, Bill generously gave his time and talents to numerous organizations, including the Absecon Lighthouse, Atlantic City Ballet, Literacy Volunteers, and the South Jersey AIDS Alliance,” the PR Council said in a statement to Front Runner New Jersey.

“He was a familiar and welcoming presence at events throughout the region, always greeting others with a smile and an unmistakably positive spirit that will be deeply missed.

Atlantic Color, Ltd, which he founded, was a graphic design and printing firm that served clients such as the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, Harrah’s Atlantic City, and Showboat Hotel.

A graduate of Perth Amboy schools, he went on to study journalism at Rutgers University, a background that informed his thoughtful approach to communications throughout his career.
