AC Mayor Marty Small to Host ACTDOZ Think Tank on April 24

ATLANTIC CITY – Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr. will host an ACTDOZ Mayoral Think Tank in connection with National Apprenticeship Week at City Hall in Atlantic City from 1-2 p.m. on April 24.
ACTDOZ, the acronym for Atlantic Coastal Tourism District Opportunity Zone, brings together leaders from Atlantic City, Brigantine, Longport, Margate, Pleasantville, and Ventnor to explore public private partnerships focusing on leveraging the municipalities’ strengths.
“This will be an extraordinary ACTDOZ meeting, with special guest U.S. Department of Labor Director Michael Blatt and DOL Apprenticeship & Training Representative Ms. Nicole Field, joining our meeting to discuss the Department of Labor exciting National Apprenticeship Week,” said James Whitehead, chairman and CEO of U.S. HART CARES and the RX5 Cybersecurity Workforce Training.
In 2026, National Apprenticeship Week is scheduled for April 26 to May 2. This marks the 12th annual celebration and is the first time the event has been moved from its traditional November date to the spring.
The 2026 theme is “America at Work: Making America Skilled Again through Registered Apprenticeship.” This theme aligns with the Freedom 250 initiative, a nationwide celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence.
Freedom 250 Initiative This initiative is a public-private partnership (P3) celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, with the DOL highlighting the role of apprenticeships over the nation’s history.
