SEWELL – The Perfecting Church and the nonprofit Loving Our Cities celebrated moving into their new location at 274 Delsea Dr. with a ribbon cutting Saturday, Nov. 9, and a block party.

The church had been holding its services at Washington Township High School before the move into its new location. Pastor Kevin C. Brown and First Lady Angela M. Brown, cofounders of the church, were joined at the ceremony by New Jersey Assemblywoman Gabriela Mosquera and Washington Township Mayor Joann Gattinelli.

Other local community leaders and church volunteers attended as well, according to a statement released by the church.

“The six-acre campus underwent a dramatic renovation and will serve as a vibrant community space with plans to spur additional development in the heart of a corridor targeted for revitalization,” the statement said.

Angela M. Brown introduced Assemblywoman Mosquera, Mayor of Washington Township Joann Gattinelli and Mayor of Winslow Township Barry Wright. After giving remarks, Digna Townsend, outreach director for U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross, presented a proclamation to the church.

Wright also talked about the ways Winslow Township has partnered with The Perfecting Church and the positive impact of Loving Our Cities in the community.

The Browns were honored by the Gloucester County NAACP with its Power Couple Award at its annual Black and White Gala and Game Changer Awards event on Nov. 3.
