Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver to Speak at Women’s March Event

ATLANTIC CITY – New Jersey Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver will be a keynote speaker during the 2020 Atlantic City Women’s March Weekend “Together We Rise” Conference, which is scheduled for Jan. 17-20.
Oliver, who made history in 2017 as the first African-American lieutenant governor in the history of the state, will speak at the conference on Saturday, Jan. 17 at noon at Boardwalk Hall.

Saturday’s workshops include the topics “What Makes Black Women’s Burdens Invisible” and “Righteous Indignation: Black Women in the Political Process.”

The Claridge Hotel is serving as the official hotel for the 2020 Atlantic City Women’s March Weekend, which will open Friday, Jan. 17 with an opening reception and then a march on the Atlantic City Boardwalk to Ocean Casino and Resort to Boardwalk Hall before Oliver’s speech.
