Grace Girls Closet Provides Free Shopping Experience in Swedesboro

SWEDESBORO – RockLife Church’s Grace Girls Closet will open at the Holiday Inn-Swedesboro Hotel, Pureland Drive, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. May 2, where shoppers can pick up everything from clothing, shoes, jewelry, pocketbooks and more for free.
In all, more than 2,500 donated items will be displayed for shoppers as Grace Girls Closet continues to be one of the best growing community events in Gloucester County and South Jersey.
“It was a God-inspired idea,” RockLife Pastor Damon Dukes said of the event, which is organized by his wife Shana Dukes. “We were open to God using us in the area of blessing the community and we thought about the scripture that says ‘it is more blessed to give than receive’ but we all know how blessed it is to receive so we incorporated both through the same event.”
Dukes said the hotel’s ballroom will be transformed into a boutique setting with tea sandwiches, Jazz music, raffles, giveaways, fun women’s facts and fellowship around making women feel special.
The donations came from RockLife church members and others. Participants will receive a free shopping bag where they will be allowed to take as much as they can fit into it.
