NAACP Atlantic City Extends Scholarship Deadline to June 4

ATLANTIC CITY – The deadline for the NAACP Atlantic City scholarships has been moved to June 4, allowing students extra time to apply for six $2,000 scholarships, Ciera Logan, chair of the branch’s education committee said this week.
Qualifications for the scholarship include:
*Must be a high school senior residing in Atlantic City
*Must show evidence of acceptance or full time enrollment in any college/university in the fall of 2020. Applicants can demonstrate this by showing college acceptance letters, completed college applications, etc.
*Must hold a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B)
*Must have two letters of recommendations from persons unrelated to the Applicant. Consider requesting a letter of recommendation from your teachers, coaches, pastor, or employer
*Must provide an official or unofficial transcript
*Must answer up to two (2) of the essay questions provided on the following page within 500-600 words; and
*Must provide a short bio of your school activities and career goals (50 words or less).
