Cape May NAACP Brings ‘Flavor’ To WCFA-FM on Mondays

CAPE MAYThe Cape May County NAACP announced this week a partnership with the Center for Community Arts and Cape May Radio, WCFA-FM, 101.5, to produce the radio program “The Flavor,” which will air 6-7 p.m. on Mondays.

“[The Flavor] is an eclectic mixture of music and talk that excites the palate,” said Cape May County NAACP president Quenette Vasser-McNeal. “Founded and hosted by Cape May County NAACP, ‘The Flavor’ is committed to informing, educating and empowering our listeners on issues that matter.”

Vasser-McNeal said the show will feature music, discussion and interviews with seasoned and new leaders. She said each guest “will share their own recipes for life.”

Mike Dempsey. “DJ Drumatic,” a native of Cape May, is an NAACP member and the deejay for “The Flavor.”

“Without Mike, NAACP would not have a show,” Vasser-McNeal said. “CMC NAACP is ever so grateful for Mike volunteering countless hours to this project.”

WCFA-FM is Cape May’s community radio station, owned and operated by the 501 (c)(3) nonprofit Center for Community Arts located in Cape May. The radio station features music and conversation, community storytelling, and local affairs programs, all locally-originated and all produced and hosted by volunteers.
