Alexander Bland Recognized as Founder of Cape May-Cumberland Young Democrats

WOODBINE — Alexander Bland was recognized Tuesday by the New Jersey Young Democrats for Black History Month as the president and founder of the Cape May-Cumberland County Young Democrats, which was formed last year.
Bland, former president of the Cape May County branch NAACP, was elected to the Woodbine Board of Education in 2019. He was named honorable mention in the InsiderNJ 2020 African American Power List.
“Alexander provides home care for Star Pediatric and nursing services at the Woodbine Developmental Center. At the age of 28 years old, he became the youngest NAACP branch president in New Jersey.”
Bland is also the acting director of the organization “Playhouse Nonprofit,” whose purpose is to use resources to help build life skills and community wellness in the South Jersey area. He hosts the radio show, “The Lift Every Voice Show” where he highlights community members making a difference.
