NAACP: Sights and Sounds From Convention Ribbon Cutting and Events

ATLANTIC CITY — After the NAACP went virtual for the past two years because of the coronavirus pandemic, national convention officials celebrated a live in-person meeting on Saturday.
The opening press conference was held at the Atlantic City Convention Center followed by the formal ribbon cutting for the convention.

For state and local officials, the national convention was three years in coming among concerns that the convention may not happen because of the pandemic.
But among the face masks and on the floor testing, there were smiles, fist bumps and handshakes, and plenty of events from youth to longtime organization veterans.
Here are some of the highlights from the NAACP convention on Saturday and more as Atlantic City takes its place in the national spotlight.
