SJ Small Business Expo 3 Biggest Yet
By Clyde Hughes | AC JosepH Media
MILLVILLE — The third South Jersey Small Business Expo turned out to be the best one yet, with about two dozen business owners, supporters, and vendors networking at downtown’s Our Family Creations, at 101 N. High Street.
Moved by positive messages from Pastor Ralph Graves, from Cornerstone Community Church, and a message on getting youth involved in local ventures from Millville Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Stephanie DeRose, small business owners found plenty to be uplifted and encouraged.
“This is what it’s all about,” said Bully Pest Management’s Wade Loatman, the founder of the South Jersey Small Business Expo. “We keep growing each event and its local businesses that are benefiting.”
This expo attracted business owners from Camden County, Burlington County and Gloucester County as well as locals from Millville and Vineland. Rick Gray, owner of the statewide known Rick’s Backyard BBQ and Grill in Atlantic County, provided the free meal of chicken, ribs, green beans and mac and cheese.
The host, Marisol Sheppard, of Our Family Creations, attended the first two expos, which were both held at the Soul of the Sea Restaurant further down High Street. She made room for seven different vendors.
