Green brings a wealth of knowledge in public administration and policy advocacy, having spent over 15 years working in various governmental and nonprofit sectors.

Her experience in advancing social justice initiatives, promoting gender equality, and enhancing civic engagement makes her an ideal leader for NJFDW, the organization said.

Green has long been an advocate for women’s rights and is known for her ability to unite diverse communities in the pursuit of shared goals.

Walters is a seasoned political strategist and advocate with a deep commitment to advancing Democratic values in New Jersey. Over the past two decades, Walters has played a pivotal role in local, state, and national campaigns, focusing on expanding women’s political participation, leadership, and mentorship.

She has also been an active member of NJFDW for many years, contributing to the organization’s mission of empowering Democratic women to lead and advocate for policies that positively impact their communities.

“I am thrilled to work alongside Roberta in this important role,” Green said in a statement from the organization. “Our vision is clear: we will continue to build upon NJFDW’s legacy of empowering women and creating a more inclusive and equitable political environment in New Jersey.

“We are committed to ensuring that women’s voices are heard and that they are well-represented at all levels of government.”

Walters, from Manville in Somerset County, said she and Green are dedicated to strengthening the federation’s impact by providing a platform for women to engage with one another, support each other’s political ambitions, and advocate for policies that uplift all women in New Jersey.

“We are excited for what lies ahead and look forward to working with our members to achieve real change,” Walters said.
