Camden Council Members Chris Collins, Jannette Ramos to be Honored at ‘Community Heroes’ Event

COLLINGWOOD — Camden City Council members Chris Collins and Jannette Ramos will be honored with several other local leaders at “A Night of History: A Salute to Community Heroes” event at Collingswood Senior Community Center on Friday, March 14 at 7 p.m.
The event is being put on by the DTPP Network with Ron C. Cunningham and Kathleen Hoke-White. The Collingswood Senior Community Center is located at 30 Collings Avenue in Collingswood.

The event is being hosted by Pastor Matthew and Kadijah Wicker of Kingdom Embassy Worship Center. Entertainer Bilai El will give a live performance.
Collins, the CEO and Editor-in-Chief of the faith-based Anointed News Journal in Camden, presents the Second Ward on Camden City Council. Since 1995, he has offered training in workforce development, journalism, entrepreneurship, job readiness, life skills, marketing and public relations to individuals Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C.
An author and nonprofit leader, Ramos represented Ward 4 on Camden City Council. She is the founder and president of It Takes a Village Housing. Since 2000, Ramos has been providing services to the drug and alcohol involved mothers and involving the children to remain involved with their parents.
