Funeral Services for SJ Journal Publisher Al Thomas Set for March 28

LANSDOWNE, Pa. — Funeral Services for South Jersey Journal publisher Albert “Al” Stanley Thomas III will be held at Rock Community Baptist Church , 17 E. LaCrosse Avenue, in Lansdowne, Pa. at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 28.
Thomas, who ran South Jersey Communications in Mullica Hill, worked for years as a prominent account executive for the Philadelphia Tribune. South Jersey Communications published the South Jersey Journal, Bridgeton Journal and North Philly Journal. AC JosepH Media provided content for the South Jersey Journal and Bridgeton Journal.
Thomas was named Special Mention for FRNJ’s Newsmakers of the Year in December for his tireless efforts to keep the Black Press print journalism alive in South Jersey.
He died on March 10. Other details are still developing.
