Tony Wilson Shares Legendary James Brown in Vineland Pre-Valentine’s Day Concert

VINELAND – Tony Wilson and the Godfather of Soul Band will honor James Brown’s 20th anniversary of his passing with a pre-Valentines Day Concert at the Landis Theater, 830 East Landis Avenue, at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13.
Put on by Believe It Or Not Productions LLC, the show will highlight the timeless music on one of American music’s greatest showmen.
“Working and performing alongside James Brown as Front Man of the original James Brown band and in the years following the death of James Brown, Tony Wilson has continued the legacy of the late singer on stages worldwide,” organizers said.

Wilson and captured Brown’s movements and music across the country at festivals, including the North Sea Jazz Festival, Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival, and others.
“Not only is Tony a consummate professional entertainer, but he is also a philanthropist,” organizers said. “He has been appointed Ambassador of the National Congress of Black women by the chair, President Dr E. Faye Williams Esq. He is also ambassador to the World Conference of Black Mayors, established in 1999 by Mayor Johnny Ford Sr., Tuskegee, Ala.”
