CAMDEN — Volunteer UP Legal Clinic announced this month that Ann M. Madden, founder of The Madden Law Group, LLC, has been named board president, and Rachel S. Dichter, counsel at Hyland Levin Shapiro LLP, has joined the organization’s board of trustees.

The Volunteer UP Legal Clinic connects volunteer attorneys with disadvantaged individuals and families in underserved communities facing civil legal challenges in the South Jersey area. The clinic combats justice inequity in various contexts, such as housing stability, reentry matters, employment, family law, health care, and government benefits.

“Volunteer UP Legal Clinic plays a vital role in helping individuals and families overcome legal barriers that can affect every aspect of their lives,” Madden said in a statement released by the clinic.

“I am honored to serve as board president and to work alongside such dedicated volunteers and staff to ensure our neighbors in South Jersey have access to the legal support they need.”

Madden, a respected trial attorney based in Cherry Hill, has long been involved with Volunteer UP Legal Clinic and its mission to expand access to justice. As board president, she will help guide the organization’s strategic direction, strengthen its network of volunteer attorneys, and support its efforts to deliver critical legal services to underserved residents across the region.

“Volunteer UP Legal Clinic is a remarkable organization that mobilizes the legal community to meet critical needs in South Jersey,” Dichter said in the clinic release. “I look forward to contributing to the Clinic’s mission and helping expand opportunities for volunteer attorneys to make a meaningful impact.”
