MOUNT LAUREL — The nonprofit ASPIRE, in partnership with Creative Content OnDemand, is launching FRAME, the first of multiple cohorts to train South Jersey residents in the skills needed to break into the film and digital media business.
The first cohort began on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The classes will be held at 139 Gaither Drive, Suite 1, in Mt. Laurel. It will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:30 p.m. until September. Individuals 18+ in Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester Counties are encouraged to apply.
The program is put on by two diversity-led organizations, Curtis Myers, President of ASPIRE, and James and April Ward, Owners of Creative Content OnDemand.
James Ward from Creative Content OnDemand says, “This program is essential because the state of New Jersey continues to invest heavily in film tax incentives to attract filmmakers, production companies, and studio development throughout the Garden State.
“As the industry grows, it is important that these new job opportunities are filled by local residents. This program helps prepare individuals for careers in the film and media industry by providing the training, skills, and pathways needed to secure employment and contribute to New Jersey’s growing creative economy.”
FRAME, which stands for Film Readiness And Media Education, is funded through a grant from NJEDA’s NJ Film Works Initiative. It is an immersive training program designed to prepare participants for the film and digital media world.
Through FRAME, participants will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard technology and techniques, including camera operation, lighting and sound setup, script breakdown, on-set production, and post-production editing.
“The program also introduces foundational project management skills essential for working on media projects”, creators of the program said.
“FRAME is designed to build both technical expertise and real-world experience, equipping participants with the skills needed to succeed in the creative economy. Training is delivered through in-person small group cohorts.”
The program focuses on training for high-demand roles, including Camera Operators, Lighting and Sound Technicians, Video Editors, and Production Assistants.
