Rowan University Black Alumni Network Announces 2026 Outstanding Alumni Honorees for Fellowship Breakfast

GLASSBORO — The Rowan University Black Alumni Network will celebrate a new class of distinguished graduates this fall, honoring leaders whose careers and community impact reflect the organization’s longstanding commitment to Black excellence.
The 2026 Outstanding Alumni Honorees will be recognized during the annual Paul A. Hilton ’83 Fellowship Breakfast, scheduled for Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. at the Rowan University Student Center, 201 Mullica Hill Road in Glassboro.
The event, themed “Timeless Traditions, Rooted in Black Excellence,” continues a tradition of spotlighting Rowan alumni who have shaped their professions and uplifted their communities.
This year’s honorees include:
*Rev. Albert Morgan ’73, recognized for his decades of service, leadership, and community advocacy.
*Jennifer Carter-Lawyer ’97, M ’99, honored for her professional accomplishments and contributions to the region.
*Julie A. Peterson, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for her enduring impact and legacy.
The breakfast will also feature Jennifer Webb-McRae ’91 as guest speaker. Webb-McRae, a respected public servant and community leader, is expected to deliver remarks that reflect both the spirit of the event and the significance of Black alumni leadership at Rowan.
Tickets for the Fellowship Breakfast are $60, increasing to $65 after Oct. 12. Organizers note that no tickets will be sold after Oct. 18, encouraging early registration for what has become one of the Black Alumni Network’s signature gatherings. The Rowan University Black Alumni Network continues to expand its reach and influence, celebrating graduates who exemplify excellence while strengthening connections among Rowan’s Black alumni community.
The 2026 honorees represent the breadth of achievement and service that the organization seeks to uplift each year.
