CLAYTON – April A. Ward, co-owner of Creative Content OnDemand, was recently recognized as a Master Board Member at the Fall 2026 Camden & Gloucester County School Board Association meeting.
The award-winning media professional has continued to serve on the Clayton Board of Education, applying her communication, organizational, and leadership experience to support students, families, educators, and the broader community.
Alongside her husband, James Ward, she serves as Chief Executive Officer of the minority-owned Creative Content OnDemand (CCOD) and Fruition Life Media.
With more than 25 years of experience in broadcast television, journalism, communications, media marketing, and strategic storytelling, Ward began her career in Philadelphia television news and earned an Emmy Award for her work on CBS 3’s The Tribune Show. Her public television career also earned two Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Awards of Excellence and a Bronze Telly Award.
A first-generation Filipino-American and lifelong Gloucester County resident, Warl’s cultural heritage has shaped her approach to leadership, communication, and community service. From an early age, she embraced opportunities to celebrate her Filipino heritage and connect with others through cultural organizations, public speaking, and community involvement.
As a teenager, she was a member of Philadelphia’s Mutya Philippine Dance Company and served as Mistress of Ceremonies for the Philippine Nurses Association of Delaware Valley’s annual function. These experiences strengthened her confidence as a communicator and helped establish a foundation for the leadership she carries into her professional and community work today.
Ward is a proud Widener University alumna, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies.
Through Fruition Life Media, April and James focus on creating Life Legacy Tribute Videos, helping families preserve and celebrate the stories, memories, and legacies of loved ones through meaningful visual storytelling.
Her leadership philosophy is rooted in service, collaboration, accountability, cultural appreciation, and building meaningful connections. She believes her professional experiences, cultural heritage, education, and commitment to community have shaped the leader she is today.
April and James Ward have been married for 20 years and are the parents of Ashley and Nolan Ward.
