PHILADELPHIA – On Dec. 4, at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Philadelphia Chapter Pepperpot Awards, Riggs Creative Group received two Ladle Awards, recognizing campaigns that earned the second-highest scores in their respective categories.

The African-American-owned creative firm based in Sewell earned a Ladle in the Integrated Communications category, which honors campaigns that align cross-channel marketing efforts to deliver a consistent brand experience.

The award-winning campaign highlighted RCG’s work with the Gloucester County Office of Mental Health’s New Jersey Disaster Relief Crisis Counselor (DRCC) program, a statewide initiative that trains volunteers to provide psychological first aid and connect disaster-affected individuals with resources.

To address rising mental health challenges and recruit more volunteers, RCG executed an eight-week promotional campaign across digital, print, email, and streaming channels, including Spanish-language materials, successfully doubling the size of the certification training class from 2024.

In the Content Marketing category, which recognizes campaigns that use owned or paid media to support public relations messaging and drive engagement, RCG earned a Ladle for its campaign for 1166 Federal Credit Union. As part of its 2023–2025 Strategic Marketing Communication Plan, RCG continued creating financial education blogs and informative news articles to engage current members, attract expanded target audiences, and reach underserved and underbanked communities, educating, empowering, and cultivating trust along the way.

The campaign successfully exceeded the credit union’s annual membership growth goal of 80 members, proudly boosted website traffic to 20k active users, and secured placements with high-traffic local chambers and media outlets such as Front Runner New Jersey.

Both awards highlight RCG’s dedication to strategic, measurable communications and the companies that trust in its expertise to move the envelope on successful marketing campaigns.

The December award followed another recognition in Oct. 23, where RGC co-founder and managing partner Claire Riggs received the Greg Davis Community Service Award at the 2025 Spirit of Community Awards, made possible by Jersey Cares, the Volunteer Center of South Jersey, and the Nonprofit Development Center of Southern New Jersey.
