The Perfecting Church Hosts GlocalNet Conference

SEWELL – The Perfecting Plaza is hosting the third annual national GlocalNet Conference, made up of a coalition of faith leaders around the world convening public/private partnerships to foster peace, reconciliation and enhance the quality of life in the communities where we live, work, serve and worship.
The conference opened Monday with a “Taste of Philadelphia” reception followed Tuesday with workshops. The conference will conclude Wednesday with additional workshops and a tour of the South Jersey region.
GlocalNet, based in the Fort Worth, Texas suburb of Keller, is a national nonprofit dedicated to mobilizing the church for transformation in the public square and cofounder of Multi-Faith Neighbors Network. The MFNN is a multi-faith organization committed to creating international religious freedom through intentional cross-cultural relationships.
The conference is hosted by Rev. Kevin C. Brown, cofounder and pastor of The Perfecting Church in Sewell, and Angela M. Brown, cofounder and executive director of the nonprofit Loving Our Cities.
Attendees include Pastor John Jenkins, of First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Prince George’s County, Md.; Imam Mohamed Magid, of All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS), in Sterling, Va.; Imam Muhammad Abdul-Aleem, of Masjidulah, Inc. in Philadelphia; and Rabbi Eli Freedman, of Congregation Rodeph Shalom in Philadelphia.
The Perfecting Church held its ribbon cutting for the Perfecting Plaza, at 274 Delsea Drive in Sewell, on Nov. 9 following a dramatic renovation to serve as a vibrant community space with plans to spur additional development in the heart of a corridor targeted for revitalization.

The Perfecting Church hosted its first service in a movie theatre on July 10, 2011 and has grown into a vibrant gathering place of contemporary Christians discovering, developing and perfecting their abilities, individually and collectively, to enhance the lives of those residing in the communities where we live, work, serve and worship.
The Perfecting Church now hosts its services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Perfecting Plaza, its new home and headquarters of Loving Our Cities located at 274 Delsea Drive in Sewell, New Jersey For more information visit www.theperfectingchurch.org or call 856-817-6223.
