NJ MLK Commission Presents 2023 Youth Conference for Jan. 16

TRENTON — The New Jersey Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commission is presenting its Injustice Anywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere 2023 Youth Conference on Monday, Jan. 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Youth interested in attending the conference can register at https://hopin.com/events/njmlkjr2023.
The agenda for the event includes a Warm-up with DJ Bam, a Welcome, and Special Messages from the Secretary of State and others.
Break Out Sessions include workshops on Life After High School, Jumpstart Your Career, Individuality and Identity, Environmental Justice/Climate Change and a Social Justice Round Table with Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson and Dr. Reverend Charles Boyer.
Winners of the Scholarship Contest will also be announced along with closing comments.
The New Jersey Martin Luther King Jr. Commission continuously works to raise public awareness of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s ideals and philosophy.
The Annual King Holiday Commemorative Celebration is held each year in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday.
The Commemorative Celebration brings together a diverse group of people to celebrate Dr. King’s life’s work and legacy. It also allows New Jerseyans an opportunity to recommit themselves to fulfilling Dr. King’s dreams in the 21st century.
The Commemorative Celebration continues to be the premier event in the State of New Jersey that honors Dr. King.
