LUPE Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Leadership Awards

EDISON — The nonprofit promoting Latina leadership Latinas United for Political Empowerment (LUPE Fund Inc.) will celebrate its 20th anniversary with an awards program at the Pines Manor in Edison on June 15.
LUPE’s annual Power of Women (POW) and Latina Leadership Scholarships awards will begin at 6 p.m. The organization will honor:
- Power of Women Award — Carol Cuadrado, Office of Senator Nellie Pou
- Amiga Award — Kellie LeDet, Kean University
- Woman of Influence Award — Maria Andrade, NJIT
- Amigo Award — Guillermo Artiles, Esq., McCarter & English
“Each of our honorees exemplify excellence,” LUPE said in an email statement. “Please join us in thanking them for the amazing work they have done to improve our communities. Your continued support and commitment to LUPE helps us to move our mission forward.
