VINELANDOscar Garcia said he has a connection with South Jersey even though his State Farm Insurance business has been up and running in Vineland for only months.

Garcia sponsored a booth at the Vineland Puerto Rican Festival and he shared stories about his business at the South Jersey Small Business Expo in Atlantic County last week. While some business owners talk about giving back and getting involved with the community, Garcia is showing it with his actions.

Highlighting the great culture and leadership in South Jersey’s Hispanic community.

“We wanted to be part of the community,” Garcia told Front Runner New Jersey at the Puerto Rican Festival last month.

“The Oscar Garcia Agency mission aligns with the State Farm mission: Help people to manage the risk of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams. We treat everyone with kindness and love, and more important, we want to make a positive impact on the community and people’s life,” a message on his website says.

Oscar Garcia: I wanted to be able to use all my capacities as a person and as a [professional and have no limits.

Oscar Garcia: State Farm was the right platform for me to do work with the community and become a business owner.

3. FRNJ: What do you enjoy the most about being a business owner?  

Oscar Garcia: Being able to work hard and see the results. Also, I enjoy being able to connect to people and be part of the community.

4. FRNJ: How important is it for you to have positive Latino role models in business?

Oscar Garcia: I think it’s super important, I am the first Latin insurance agent in the area.

5. FRNJ: Anything else you would like to add?

Oscar Garcia: The community in South Jersey is great and we all need to work together to show it to the rest of the country.
