ATLANTIC CITYCasino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) Deputy Executive Director Maisha Y. Moore has been named Interim Executive Director, the CRDA Board of Directors announced today.

Moore will be serving the Authority as Interim Executive Director after the announcement was made that CRDA Executive Director Sean Pattwell will be leaving the Authority at the start of 2024.

In her new role, Moore will continue to steer the CRDA towards fulfillment of its statutory purpose by focusing and investing in the revitalization and development of Atlantic City, growing economic opportunities, and committing resources to the community.

Moore joined the CRDA in April, 2022. As the Deputy Executive Director, Moore manages the community development grants and sponsorships process. She serves on the Visit Atlantic City and the Jersey Shore Partnership Boards. Prior to joining CRDA, she worked for the City of Atlantic City Municipal Government. In that role, she served as the former Mayor’s Chief of Staff, where she directed the day-to-day operations of the Mayor’s office and collaborated and guided City Hall department processes and functions to current industry standards for municipal services. Mrs. Moore also collaborated with stakeholders within the State of New Jersey to bring a new direction and opportunities to the City.

“On behalf of the CRDA Board of Directors, we are confident that Maisha’s governmental experience will enable her to steer the CRDA during this transition,” said CRDA Board Chairman Modia Butler.

Prior to working for the City of Atlantic City, Moore worked for non-profits in grant writing and under U.S. Senator Cory Booker, with a focus on Uniform Services, Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Corrections, Internal Revenue Service and Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Moore earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania in Political Science in 2009.

Moore is a lifelong resident of Atlantic County and is excited to begin her new role.
