VINELAND — Whether as a local radio and television personality, working with families as a home realtor or volunteering time throughout the community, Millie Irizarry (formerly Sanchez) leaves a positive impression on everyone she meets.

The owner of the Global Media Society Public Relations Network and a realtor at the Keller Williams Prime Realty-Brittany Lopez Group, Irizarry’s energetic personality and focus on others draws people to her causes.

In 2020, the Bridgeton Area Chamber of Commerce gave Irizarry one of its Community Heroes Awards for her work in Cumberland County.

“Millie is a natural-born humanitarian who previously worked for the Vineland and Cumberland County Health Departments,” the chamber had said. “As an advocate for her community, she hosted several food drives when others were afraid to do so during the pandemic.”

Irizarry also received the Cumberland County Hometown Hero Award in 2019 by SNJ Today, with organizers calling her “a true blessing” to the community.

“[Irizarry] is a great inspiration to the residents in our community,” said SNJ Today. “Millie’s goal is to lift the mental, physical and spiritual well-being of area citizens by advocating for her two favorite causes — heart and health.”

Irizarry has served as a local community liaison for the City of Vineland Health Dept., Cumberland County Health Dept., Community Food Bank of New Jersey, and Mental Health and Addiction board member.

She has also been a former Little League coach and volunteer, where she has made a lasting impact through her unwavering commitment to making Vineland a better place for all.

As a realtor, Irizarry brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and passion to her role. She uses her experience in the market to make the most of her career. She has even hinted that politics may be in her future someday.

Irizarry said she is most proud of being a mother to her children Thaili, 15, and Milan, 9. She said working as a single parent can place high demands on you but says she loves being a mother and handles her household “with grace and determination” while creating a nurturing and supportive environment for her children.

Through her continued work professionally and in the community, Irizarry said she hopes to serve as a beacon of inspiration and hope, “reminding us all that the power of kindness, dedication, and community spirit” can make a difference in someone’s life.
