Women of Color Highlighted in NAWBO South Jersey’s Beyond the Glass Ceiling Awards

DEPTFORD — Three women of color are among the 2025 Beyond the Glass Ceiling Awards honorees by the National Association of Women Business Owners South Jersey Chapter, which will be given out March 6 at Adelphia’s in Deptford.

The awards are given annually by NAWBO South Jersey during Women’s History Month to highlight the outstanding work of women business owners locally. The women of color receiving recognition include:

*Under 40 Businesswoman of the Year – Trinity Jagdeo, From We Can’t to We Can

*Women’s Advocate of the Year – Dr. June DePonte Sernak, Alice Paul Center for Gender Justice

*Diversity Advocate of the Year – Nika Corbett, Curate Noir

Kelly Wernersbach, of Adjust Your Sleep Mattress Boutique LLC, will receive  the top prize of Woman Business Owner of the Year, while Archer Law will receive the Company of the Year award. The Nonprofit of the Year award will go to Patricia A. Legge, Esq., LMSW, Volunteer UP Legal Clinic.
