History Comes Alive: Paulsboro High School Students to Host “HERstory” Museum Exhibit

PAULSBORO – On Feb. 28, the Paulsboro High School cafeteria will be transformed into a portal to the past.

The Borough of Paulsboro and Paulsboro Public Schools will host its 7th Annual Community Black History Month program, featuring a special appearance by the African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey’s traveling exhibit, “Talking About HERstory,” according to Tahje Thoimas, president of the Paulsboro Council and an educator at Paulsboro High Schoool.

The event, which runs from noon to 3 p.m. centers on the extraordinary contributions of African American women in South Jersey.

Acting as expert tour guides, Paulsboro High School students will bridge the gap between generations, narrating the stories of culture and resilience that have shaped American history.

This hands-on experience allows students to step into leadership roles while honoring the pioneers who paved the way for their future.

  • Admission: Free to all community members and guests

“Join us for an afternoon of education, inspiration, and community pride as we celebrate the voices that refuse to be forgotten,” organizers said.
