VINELAND — Vineland Puerto Rican Festival Week will kick off on July 19 with a flag raising at Vineland City Hall at 1 p.m., as Festival Puertorriqueño Vineland celebrates its 60th anniversary.

The weeklong celebration, running from July 19–26, will feature a full schedule of cultural activities centered around Landis Park. The festival is traditionally one of the largest annual celebrations of Puerto Rican culture in New Jersey.

“July is finally here, and we are officially in the final stretch of planning for this year’s Puerto Rican Festival Week,” festival organizers said on Facebook this weekend. “As we wrap up the last of the preparations, we want to remind everyone that our raffle tickets are still available. Every ticket purchased helps support this community tradition that has been part of Vineland for generations.”

Each day of the festival carries a special theme. In past years, the schedule has included Kid’s Day, Youth Day, and Folkloric Day. The celebration culminates on Sunday, July 26, with a parade that winds from downtown Vineland to Landis Park. The final day is filled with food vendors, product booths, and live music.

“It hasn’t always been easy, and it’s taken a lot of hard work and dedication to keep this festival alive—but together, we continue to make it happen,” organizers said. “We want to thank every volunteer, sponsor, supporter, and everyone who has dedicated their time and effort to making this year’s festival possible.”

Organizers said they are proud that the festival has remained free and accessible to the community.

“Most importantly, we thank God for blessing us with another opportunity to celebrate our culture, our heritage, and our community,” organizers said. “We pray for beautiful weather, safe travels, and great company throughout Festival Week. We can’t wait to see everyone as we kick things off on Sunday, July 19.”

El Festival Puertorriqueño de New Jersey Inc., a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization, is committed to preserving, celebrating, and promoting Puerto Rican heritage, culture, and ethical values within the region’s diverse communities.
