State, Local Leaders Talk Reparations at UUCCH Zoom Workshop

CHERRY HILL — U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross and State Sen. Troy Singleton will take part in a Reparations for African Americans workshop over Zoom on Thursday, June 17, at 7 p.m.
Loretta Winters, president of the Gloucester Chapter NAACP and Barbara Weinstein, associate director of the Religious Action Center will help lead the workshop sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Cherry Hill.
“Years of oppression toward African Americans deserves an honest look at what we can do today,” a statement said. “This workshop will offer breakout sessions for participants to learn hands-on skills to effectively discuss reparations with decision makers.”
