CAMDENParents for Great Camden Schools and Camden Enrollment are offering parents the opportunity to learn more about Camden City’s free PreK-12 options through a virtual school fair.

The “Virtual School Fairs” will be held online through Zoom and will also be closed-captioned for Spanish speaking families. Representatives from all public school types, including district, charter, and renaissance schools, will be participating in this event. The event was put together to give Camden families the opportunity to discover Pre-K, K-8, and high school options. Parents will learn about schools’ curricula, afterschool programming, and other services offered.

“Now, more than ever, it’s important parents have access to high-quality schools. While the pandemic has made it difficult for parents to tour schools and meet face-to-face with school leaders, we hope to bring parents and school representatives together through these Virtual School Fairs. In doing so, our hope is that parents can make the best-informed choice among the many school options in the City of Camden for their students,” said Shirley Irizarry, executive director of Parents for Great Camden Schools.

The virtual tours will include several guest speakers:

Tanya Gillespie-Lambert, Community and Parent Involvement Specialist for the office of early childhood at CCSD, will be speaking to to pre-K families .

“Our collaborative efforts with PGCS to provide the ‘Virtual School Fair’ is our way in continuing our mission in meeting parents, students and the community where they are and empowering them to exercise their right to school choice,” said Tameeka Mason.

The “Virtual School Fair” will occur on the following dates/times:

  • Pre-K Virtual School Fair: March 22, from 4-6 p.m.
