Camden Raises Puerto Rican Flag Ahead of Annual San Juan Bautista Festival

CAMDEN — Members of the San Bautista Festival and concert joined Camden Mayor Victor Carstarphen, Camden City Council President Angel Fuentes and Assemblyman William Spearman in the raising of the Puerto Rican flag on Thursday.

The flag raising ceremony is part of the leadup to the annual San Juan Bautista Festival and Concert, which will be held this year at Wiggins Waterfront Park, 2 Riverside Drive, starting at noon to 8 p.m. on June 26.

The event will include a parade, marching bands, dance troupes, car clubs, veterans, school bands, traditional music, dancing as well as decorated floats. Salsa and merengue music will be played during a post-parade concert.
