ATLANTIC CITYThe Atlantic City Rescue Mission, which serves the homeless locally, was one of six recipients of funds from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City this week as it prepares to celebrate its sixth year anniversary.

The Atlantic City Rescue Mission helps many of the needy folks in the community, including those from the city’s diverse population with meals and shelter. The organization received the reward along with Jewish Family Services, Covenant House, Hope One, the ARC of Atlantic County and AC Pride.

Hard Rock said in a statement that the organizations will receive a $6,000 donation. The hotel has been giving back to the community each year since arriving in Atlantic City in 2018.

“While music is a part of Hard Rock’s DNA, philanthropy is a part of our soul,” George Goldhoff, president of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, said in a statement. “Since opening in 2018, Hard Rock Atlantic City has made intentional efforts to keep our charitable giving local, ensuring the residents of Atlantic City are our number one beneficiary.

“We are thrilled to announce yet another effort to impact our community as we recognize and celebrate six deserving charities who provide resources to some of the most vulnerable and underserved members of our local community.”

Hard Rock officially celebrates its sixth anniversary on Friday (June 28), where team members packed 600 birthday-themed food boxes alongside lookalikes of the world’s most famous musicians for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

“From the outset, the power of the Hard Rock brand combined with the dedication of our team members has propelled Hard Rock Atlantic City into becoming the most successful casino on Atlantic City’s famed Boardwalk,” Goldhoff said.

“Together with our owners, the Seminole Tribe of Florida, and our partners, Jack Morris, Joe Jingoli and Michael Jingoli, we are celebrating by saying ‘thank you’ to our guests, our team members and the Greater Atlantic City community.”
