By Clyde Hughes | AC JosepH Media
ATLANTIC CITY — With all the bustle of the holiday season and getting a new website design up and running, it almost went unnoticed that Front Runner New Jersey surpassed 1,000 posts in our four years of existence.
It’s hard to believe we are in our fourth year doing this (our fourth year will be completed in August). In reality, we feel like we are just scratching the surface of cover the wonderful communities of color in South Jersey. There is so much to do, so much we want to write about and tell you about, yet we are happy just to get that chance to do it.
We have been fortunate this year with great grants from the NJ Civic Information Consortium, LION and CivicStory, we have been able to expand and grow what we do. We will continue with those effort regardless of what the future holds for us financially.

Along with a new website design, we expanded our coverage with the Front Runner Diverse Voices column with Shelja Touri as our lead writer, as continue to grow our Front Runner La Prensa coverage. We have also started covering southern Ocean County along with our seven other counties we started with — Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem.
We even hired our first summer intern, Adrianna Alston, of Williamstown via Clark Atlanta University, who provided some outstanding coverage for us over the three months she was with us. A special thanks to Rick’s Backyard BBQ, Bully Pest Management, and Creative Content OnDemand for their support.
Over the next five days, we will reveal the stories you read the most on Front Runner New Jersey and FRNJ Extra over the past year. For the fourth year in a row we have increased our views and readership. That’s because of you. Thank you.
