MOUNT HOLLY — Servicios Latinos, also known as SELBUC Multicultural Social Services, is hosting its annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration 2021 at the Burlington County Amphitheater, 5 Pioneer Boulevard, in Westampton on Saturday, Sept. 25.
Angela Mateo Gonzalez, the executive director of Servicio Latinos told Front Runner La Prensa that their celebration usually draws about 1,800 from all cultures looking forward to sharing and taking part in the Latino culture for a day of celebration and fun.
“Things have been so bad with COVID-19, that now is a chance for us to come together and celebrate,” Gonzalez said.
She said all types of music from Latin America will be part of the event. She said community resources will be made available to attendees as well.
“Throughout the years, this annual event has allowed Latinos, and others from different cultures and backgrounds, to come together to enjoy the great diversity of our county,” a letter on the Servicios Latinos website said. “Additionally, it allows families to have access to free health screenings, and get connected and educated on the various county/state resources, social service providers, and community businesses.”
The event will be held outdoors and will host a variety of community members of all ages who come together to enjoy live music and other recreational activities.
