Group Honors Ralph Padilla, Jose Sosa With Latino Pride Award

PLEASANTVILLE — Ralph Padilla, founder of the Puerto Rican Action Committee of Southern New Jersey, and businessman Jose F. Sosa will be honored with the Latino Pride Award from the Building Our Future Together Dinner Series and The Society Page at the Pleasantville Diner on June 22.
The Building Our Future Together Dinner Series is a multicultural group of small business owners who share the common vision of working together to create a better future for their families and communities. The Society Page’s Jorge Restrepo has been the leader of the effort.
The event, which will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m., will recognize Padilla, who is a trailblazing Latino as the first Hispanic chief of prosecutors with the Salem County and first Latino to serve as mayor of Pittsgrove before starting PRAC.
Sosa, the former mayor of Mount Holly Township, is the owner of Grupo Sosa Insurance Co. and a former member of the New Jersey State Assembly.
Special guest and host for the event will be comedian Michelle Tomko.
